Nature has gifted Pakistan with a vast variety of flora and fauna. It is home to many wildlife species that are rarely found in other parts of the world. Pakistan has the world’s unique and precious biodiversity.

From the world’s largest permanent freshwater glaciers to the hot deserts of Thar and Cholistan, Pakistan is the only country with the most altitudinal variation in the world. It has one of the highest mountains - K2 (8,611m) in the Karakorum Range and almost 650 miles long coastline, are two extremes. This unique diversity reflects in its biodiversity, geography, cultures and people and makes this land an aspiring and challenging place for explorers and nature lovers.

This diversity in geography is also paralleled by a diverse ethnicity of many distinct cultures, communities and very special biodiversity including more than 700 species of birds and 173 species of mammals.
